Not impressed. The chimichurri tasted old and canned (if that's possible?). The grilled veggies weren't really grilled... Pretty much raw with grill lines on one side. The best part of the meal was the black beans, but that's not what we paid $34 for. Both my husband and I felt slightly ill after eating our dinner, so basically it's not an experience we'd like to repeat - especially for the price.

I usually don't post messages but I felt that this place deserved my Yelp. After reading the reviews. I can say that they are wrong! the food is great the service is good and the place itself is really clean including the restrooms. They have a good selection of healthy entrees and the burgers look very tasty. They serve wine Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay perfect for the steak and chicken dishes. Needless to say I will return to this location.

Can I rate less than 1 star? The kitchen here doesn't seem to understand how to cook meat to different temperatures. Everyone I was with who ordered a steak or hamburger got it cooked at least 2 grades more than what he asked for. I ordered a medium rare and got it medium well. I sent it back and got a fresh one back, cooked well done. We had some children with us, and they got chicken tenders. Those came out RAW PINK INSIDE. Way to go, Giraffas. Let's give the kids (2 and 4 years old) salmonella, bravo! After all the complaints we made to the server, and asking specifically for the manager, we got no response from the management. The managers hid out in the kitchen, watching us and waiting for us to leave. They never came out of the kitchen until the moment we walked out the front door. This place needs a real overhaul in the management department, and the line cooks as well. Until then, DO NOT RISK YOUR MONEY, YOUR SATISFACTION, AND POTENTIALLY YOUR HEALTH!!!

For a Brazilian person, I'm very disappointed with the flavor of the meat, black beans and the stroganoff ! My son chicken with a texture of a cardboard, the new one was very tender....so why they give the first one like that?? Kids filet mignon was dry.... The only great thing, was the chicken ribs and the pão de queijo....place is clean, staff very friendly and the manager very nice !!!

Giraffas, If you can't get your Picanha right, don't call yourself a Brazilian Steakhouse. Food- Salty mostly. And sometimes they get it right with the flavor balance. But no guarantee. Prices - they think they're Chima. Very overpriced for the portions they serve. Place is clean and staff is OK.

I've been pleased with Giraffas every time I've been there. Great food, value, and ambiance. Also great for lunch since you can be in and out in ~20 minutes. For something better than fast food and not as expensive as a nicer sit down restaurant, Giraffas is a great choice.

I like this place. Twice I've liked it. Different, with a, at least for me, confusing menu. But some flavorful, well prepared offerings. Not a knock out and there are certainly better cuts of meat but those come with greater price tags. Salads are very good. The three or four sides that I've tried were spot on. I'm not a chain eater but this is one of the good guys, for the price.

This place was really good, and... different. Good menu, lots of choices. I had the steak which was well cooked and tasty. My son had the hamburger which both he and my wife said was REALLY Good, tasted just like the steak. My wife had a salad with grilled chicken on it: also very good. Didn't do dessert but had a couple things that looks worth trying. Give this place a shot, you won't regret it.

Good food neat atmosphere but there's room for improvement. We came to Girrafas to give it a try based on some great Yelp reviews and a checkin offer for a free appetizer. We ordered a salmon platter, Girrafao steak sandwich, the chicken rib appetizer and some Brazillian cheese bread (Pao de Queso). Everything was very good. We were actually surprised by the chicken rib app (which was excellent). One little thing was that a fried egg was supposed to come on the steak sandwich but was forgotten. No big deal because it was excellent anyway and the manager (who came by our table to check on us) did offer to replace it. The steak on the sandwich was cooked perfectly, and the salmon was also cooked perfectly and was really good. Overall it was about $30 for two (kind of expensive for this place) but I think a good value. Took off one star for the missing egg and a few other small things but I will definitely come back. Thanks fellow Yelpers for a great new place. Oh, one more thing they have a Currasco steak lunch special for $7. I'll definitely come back for that. :-)

I had the Brutus burger my wife had the cheese burger worry fries. Everything was great. Not sure why people are not eating here. The place was empty on the Monday night we went. We used the Yelp Check-in app to get a delicious mango cheesecake. Wow! That was awesome! The server was very friendly too.

Ok, time to destroy this place. Where do I even begin? Everything that I put in my mouth here, including the soda, was absolutely gross. Extremely overpriced, sticky tables, unpleasant staff and pure crookery! My friend wanted a steak burger with cheese and bacon. $17 with fries and a drink........................ If we weren't so tired and hungry we would've left but we thought that if it's priced so high that it would rock our intestines. Nah, not even close. His plate, along with mine, came out looking portioned like jail food. Slivers of fries in the corner, a wet, ugly burger in the middle and a few sickly looking onions crying on the side of the tray. I ordered the steak and rice. It was spoiled. Utterly, definitely, surely spoiled and sickening. After looking up this poor excuse of a 'restaurant' as the oblivious might call it, I found out that they have been sanctioned multiple times for rotten or spoiled food due to bad storing procedures. The food was dreadful to say the least, and I felt robbed not only of my money, but more importantly of my trust. I was cheated and quite frankly insulted. I want to make it my mission to spread this review to protect potential customers from stepping in this abomination. Simply put: DONT EAT HERE! Don't even order a soda, the ice is probably diseased and expensive...

My first time eating here and gotta say I will be back to try some other menu items. The staff was very informative and knowledgeable of the menu and all that it had to offer. They made suggestions which were perfect. I did have the Galo de Briga sandwich. Wow! the sandwich was loaded, no skimping here. The fries where very good and the dessert was perfect. Compliments to the Cook in the back, the chicken was awesome. And to our Waitress??? i forgot her name, thanks for the Dessert tip. I'll be Back!!!

Stopped in here the other night and walked out after 10 minutes of standing there waiting for the counter to figure out how to take the order of the people before us, and seeing 5 other tables who had yet to get their food. Will try again after they work out one kinks. Manager was there because I watched him walk out looking annoyed but he did not jump on the line or help the poor girl at the counter who had no clue what she was doing. Mgmt needs to get a clue or they won't last any longer than any previous mediocre restaurant that has occupied this location...........

I can't find any reason why anyone would spend their money here. I can't wait to see what business will replace Giraffas because I don't think Giraffas will be here much longer. The only good point is the place is clean - everything else is a 0. We will never go back. I have been 4 times when they first opened, I wanted to give them a fair chance and try various items. Food never was very good and service was bad so I stopped going - there are too many great places to eat in the area to waste my money here. Well, my sister bought a Groupon recently so they wanted to go - we reluctantly went with them - but who knows maybe they have improved. Spoiler - they got worse. We went with 8 people and not one person in the group liked the food, the prices or the service. The Groupon was successful in bringing in new customers but the food and service made sure they lost 8 customers fro good. We got there at 7:30 and nobody was in the place, we left at about 8:40 and in that entire time only 3 people came in - not a good sign. As soon as we walked in they told us they were out of rice. I asked about the cheesy bread and yet again they were out. I asked the lady if they ever have them because this is my 5th time in and asking for them and this is the 5th time they are out. She said 'people like to order them" and I told her ' Yea I figured that, and I would like to be one of those people'. So for the 5th time I didn't get to try the rumored cheesy bread. I did have a free appetizer for my Yelp check in - but that never came, I told the manager and she was apologetic and said she would get them right out ......and they never came. So I never got my appetizer. The food is not good at all. It taste frozen, and taste like low quality. For a place that touts flavors, everything was very flavorless. Nothing taste freshly made, nothing taste like they put any effort in at all. The food quality, flavor and portion are a joke for the price. My mashed potatoes had a crusty dried outside shell around the top from sitting so long , and they tasted like 2 day old leftovers. The veggies were cold as could be. I actually showed the manager and told her you can't expect to get customers to come in and spend good money when you serve this type of stuff out of the kitchen. Out of the 8 orders we had one kids meal burger and one adult burger, aside from the burgers being dry and tasteless we noticed the adult burger patty was very small and not even close to the menu picture we also noticed it was the same skimpy size as the kids burger. We asked the manager if the kids and regular burger are the same size - she said no at first but then we put the patties side by side and she said yes- the meat portions are the same but the bun on the adult burger is bigger! WTF so why charge more for the same portion meat? No one enjoyed there meal and not one of us would come back. Judging from the lack of any customers, the lifeless staff and crappy food; this place won't be around very much longer. Personally I can't wait until they are gone so we may have chance to get a good restaurant in its place.

I originally came here with a hankering for a burger but settled for the Galo de Briga Chicken sandwich, since there was a Yelp special (50% off). I couldn't have made a better choice. The sandwich had lettuce, fried eggs, bacon, cheese and I got the garlic mayonnaise, which I also ate with my French fries. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a smokey grilled flavor. The fries were fresh and hot, though a bit too much salt. I had the chocolate, peanut butter molten cake, which was the bomb. The staff was super friendly and I especially liked talking to Iris, the corporate trainer I had met at the other location in Pompano Beach. This location is closer to my house and I'm happy about that. I'll be back.

We only ate here one time. We were searching for Chipolte and discovered this place instead. Placed an order to go. We ordered the grilled chicken sandwiches with a side of seasoned fries, small salad and grilled vegetables. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because the amount of food you get for the price you pay is terrible. The grilled vegetables were a joke. $3.00 for a very small little tiny cup of vegetables. Same thing with the salad. The chicken sandwhich was good but not worth $7.00. I can go to pollo tropical down the street and get a grilled chicken sandwich for $3.49 and it's just as good. We will not be returning here.

First time customer and I was completely hesitant to come in bc I have never heard of the place. I checked out Yelp, and reviews were not bad... This place is amazing for a good burger... It completely competes with the best of them. Definitely going to come back!!

Came to this place as it sounded interesting and on entering found a large place that was clean neat and modern appearing. We ordered from the menus on the wall and both my son and me found our meals to be lacking just one thing .... TASTE! The service was quick and efficient tho!

The Picanha Burger is DELICIOUS!! I ordered mine with mixed greens, onions, cheddar, bacon and Giraffe's Sauce (basically chimichurri mayo). It was cooked perfectly. The cheese bread appetizer was slightly overcooked this time, but it was still pretty darn good. My only real issue is more of a heads up, really. They served my side salad on the same plate as my burger. I'm normally okay with food on my plate touching, but not when it results in a bun soaked in vinegarette salad dressing. Luckily, only a small corner of my bun was affected so it wasn't too bad. Next time I will just ask for a separate plate. Try this place out. It's fantastic!!!

Wow. Just not good ! 7:00 pm on a Friday night we were only ones in having dinner. I think the writing is on the wall for this place Very confusing menu board. When you order at cashier you need to look behind you to remember exactly what the board said.

Checked out Giraffa's based on reading about how huge this place is in Brazil. Overall I must say I wasn't at all that impressed. Granted, we ordered a couple of burgers which isn't all that adventurous, but what really turned me off was they screwed the order up. The employee at the counter repeated the order back to us twice, both times we had to correct them. They did apologize for the mistake, however when the order came back it appeared that some of the fixings had been re-used based on remnants of condiments on the bacon. Again, not deal-breaking however when you're charging 10 bucks for a 5oz burger you expect the execution to be much better than your average fast-food joint. Most locals may recall that this restaurant is in the former CG Burgers, which went out of business rather quickly not due to the food, but for abhorrent service. I'm sure the leadership team @ Giraffa's recognize the sizeable Brazilian population in the nearby areas (Boca, Deerfield etc) and is banking on those customers who want a taste of the former homeland. The challenge here is that there's a lot of competition in south Florida and customers here have little tolerance for bad service. I hope they get the kinks out and we might try them again for the steaks... Maybe.

Horrible food, horrible service. All our meals were over cooked or raw. So we sent our meals back and the second set of food was worse than the first. Managers knew there was a problem but never approached us to correct the issues. Raw chicken fingers are not ok to serve!!

First time visiting this place and I really enjoyed it. The service is great (one of my biggest pet peeves) and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I enjoy technology and thought that having TV screens showing tweets and such is pretty neat, as is the use of LevelUp. The food was good, but the chicken felt like it was prepackaged frozen chicken breasts you buy at a large chain market. The sides were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something different. The servers were very positive and informative, good staff. Will come back.

You pick your meat and how you want it cooked, with a choice of 3 sides and whichever sauce you want. I had the grilled chicken, grilled vegetables, black beans, quinoa, and Brazilian vinaigrette. The price is very reasonable. I got all of that for $10.50. Everything is super fresh!!! The staff was so helpful and genuine! Especially one of the servers, Cathy. She was so sweet and considerate!!! Love this place!

Friday night and there were no guests. Ordered their signature sandwiches and the cashiers didn't know what I was talking about. I had been there before when they first opened and enjoyed it even though it was on the expensive side. Tonight's bill was going to be $55 for a burger and 4 sandwiches. It just didn't feel right, so we cancelled and left. Too bad! Not going back.

Came here because it was open late and we wanted to try their steaks and burgers. The place is really pretty and clean and the service was ok but the food was really less than mediocre. The picanha was so fatty and difficult to eat, not enjoyable. The burger was a little better but still ....would not go back.

Absolutely horrible, food was cold my chicken breast was a pre frozen fake meat, definitely not fresh or grilled. Rice and beans were old and over-cooked. The two other tables in the restaurant at the time also had problems and complaints with dishes. Waste of money. Wish I went to pollo tropical across the street. Sorry never again will my $30 for 2 meals go to this place

Haha used the free appetizer to come here and needless to say I was surprised when they were wings and not fingers. Maybe I misread something. But hey, free food. The chipotle flavor is pretty damn good. Neat atmosphere. Definitely gonna try this place out again. Great, friendly service.

My first time at Giraffas was excellent! The food was excellent and quickly served. Of course, I can't remember the name of what I order, but it was the traditional burger, with egg, cheese, and ham on it. I ordered it without the ham. My boyfriend got the chicken filet with side dishes and everything was again, fresh and excellent.

Every time I go, I find consistency in their dishes. I stumbled upon this place as my intention was to go eat at the Panera Bread next door but my nose pulled me and forced me to try this place. I was not disappointed. I haven't tried everything on their menu (yet) but the things I have are great. Also, refreshment selection is worth mentioning! Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is sometimes their kitchen forgets special orders (like burgers without cheese) and thei kids menu selection could use a little more variety.

Excellent, really enjoyed my brazilian new York strip steak. Very tasty and sides were very good. The burgers are charbroiled and really good. The restaurant is new and really fancy looking for a semi fast food place. I'm a new fan and will continue to support this establishment.

This is the first Brazilian place I've ever eaten at, and it was outstanding. I order their steak burger, and not only was it good, but the service was phenomenal. I don't have any other place to compare it to, but I recommend this restaurant if you want to eat great Brazilian cuisine. Only downfall is the price, but if you enjoy quality food, then it won't matter.

I had to follow up on my previous disaster at this location. Arrival time 1-1:30 on a Thursday afternoon.......... Wow what a difference. The customer service was great, the steak was cooked to perfection, french fries were crisp and the salad was fresh. Now the food matched the decor............excellent!! :-) Getting back to customer service, My friend and I were greeted as we walked in and was helped by "Kathy" who took our order. She was very friendly, helped us through the ordering process and delivered our food which was hot, not like the first time we were there. She also stopped by our table a couple of times, making sure our needs were met. I also think the manager / chef came to our table asking if we needed anything and was all set. Wow this is the place where I would take family , friends for a great dinner!!! Keep up the good work!!!

We went here a big group of us the first week it opened and it was a disaster from start to finish. First I ordered the picanha steak and wanted it medium rare. It came out well done/ burnt. They offered to re-do it. The second attempt came back worse than the first. All 3 of us that got steaks had each sent back and redone and all second attempts were awful. I ordered my kids chicken fingers and it was pink in the center. Absolutely awful. When I finally got my peanut butter chocolate lava cake the waitress assured me this would finally be correct ... Nope. The plate was hot, the cake was hot. The 'lava' center was frozen solid. Like someone just shoved the plate in the microwave on high and that's it. Worst of all the manager didn't even come out to see us. A big group like this and all these issues and you don't come out to see us? Says a lot about this place. Worst experience we've had as a group out at a restaurant in a long time. Just awful. Stay away from this place.

This was my first time in a fast food Brazilian restaurant. The atmosphere was nice. Two of us ordered chicken, which was pretty good. Well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, one of us got the 5oz picanha with rice beans and farofa. Coming from a Brazilian background you kind of hold a certain expectation of what this type of food should taste like. This was far far from it. The food was bland and the picanha was overcooked (ordered med-rare got well done). Aside from that...it was an ok place. Will I be going back...probably. Just not to eat anything but the chicken.

My wife and I had lunch today ...one of our favorites ...the Chicken Stroganoff and it was made very well. Everything was good portions and extremely fresh. James ( Mgr ) at the counter took care of us and was very kind and for sure cared about the customer and their opinion. I'm sure we'll be back in a few days. The girl who took care of us was very nice also.

My husband and I ordered their filet mignon burger. When it arrived at the table it had a horrible wrencky smell. I took a bite and had to spit it out immediately. I told the manager. He resisted giving me another (less expensive) burger but then finally aggreed. More patrons in the resteraunt began complaining about a nasty taste in their meats as well. First and last time at this resteraunt!

Couldn't wait to try this place based other location reviews. Sadly this location was nowhere near the other reviews. We had to send back our steaks twice because the over cooked it. I ordered the chimichurri sauce with my steak, it was wall oil.... No flavor at all. They served my 4 year old raw chicken!!! The manager NEVER came to our table to acknowledge that there was a problem. My husbands molten lava cake came out frozen.... They couldn't even microwave properly. It's safe to say that we won't be returning to giraffes any time soon.

It's great that they show you a lovely laminated sheet with the way your meat will look but too bad every piece of meat comes out black inside and out. The chicken is raw and can kill someone especially kids! And the sides are disgusting, you are better off eating at a fast food restaurant. The management and servers have no care for how horrible their food is. DON'T EVER SET FOOT IN THERE IF YOU WANT A GOOD MEAL!!! RUN! THERE ARE MANY OPTIONS NEARBY

Great looking place - friendly service, but for a steak restaurant they really need to learn how to use a grill. Been there twice sent back the steak once 'cause it was raw - today it was cooked to rubber. My wife had to send back the salmon because it was raw too. My pet peeve - they put her half eaten salmon back on the grill. Should have started a new piece. Maybe one more try - then I'm done (well done).

Iv been there 3 times..Tried there steak asked for a medium well I got rare bought it to go so I had to finish cooking it at home. 2nd time tried the chicken ribs, they were good. 3rd time bought a burger it was ok.. And the fries didn't taste fresh.. Some were cold and some were hot.. Management there needs help. I saw the manager get completely rude with customer and ignore her saying that it was a busy hour..

I saw a positive review in the newspaper and had to try it. What a disappointment! The service was fine and I appreciate that someone explained the menu when we arrived. The food...another story altogether. I was asked twice whether the steak was cooked to my satisfaction. Yes, the temperature was right, but that was about it. About half was gristle...inedible. So, my 10 oz. steak turned out to be 5 oz. Although I complained about the steak, nothing was done. Considering that the personnel kept coming to the table asking how everything was, when I had a problem with the food, it didn't occur to them that they needed to make things right. The sides were ok, but the overall experience, considering it is supposed to be a steak place, was disappointing. I won't be back.

First time here, my family and I really enjoyed it. Perfectly cooked, very tasty Brazilian food. The picanha was excellent, my wife loved the stroganouf with shrimp and my very picky daugther loved her grilled chicken with salad and fries. This is officially added to my favorites list, excellent value for the price, will be a regular here.
